Features:
- New Karoo Only:
- You can now sideload third-party Android apps on Karoo using a URL linked to an APK file (New Karoo ONLY). Long press on a URL with a downloadable APK and select the Hammerhead Companion App from the share menu on your phone.
- Once you select the Companion App, you will see a Transferring screen in your app and an Install screen appear on your Karoo.
- Click ‘Install’ to finish installing the app. The Karoo must be turned on and connected to WiFi for the APK file to be installed via a URL from the Companion App.
- We will continue to roll out more updates in the coming months to make apps more accessible on Karoo (both sideloaded and natively available on your Hammerhead device).
- Note: Hammerhead has only verified that URL’s from GitHub work for sideloading through the Companion App. Other URL’s may work. Learn more about sideloading HERE.

- We updated our distance data fields to show increased decimal precision. Distance data fields with single and double digit distances (e.g. 4.37 mi or 13.74 mi) will show decimals to the tenth decimal. Triple digit and higher distance fields (e.g. 100.3) will only show one decimal of precision.
- We made minor improvements to the error states on Karoo. Error states are now aligned based on your data field alignment preferences.
- We added a new browser on Karoo to support Auth re-directs to login to third-party applications.
Bug Fixes:

- We fixed an issue where the turn-by-turn drawer incorrectly shows “Preparing route” when re-routing is disabled and the rider goes off-route. The drawer will now show the correct “Off route” state in the drawer.
- We fixed an issue with Extension fields that required integer values.
